HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
This is a very special week because it begins with a rare astronomical phenomenon. On 27-28 September, most folks on this thread can enjoy several coinciding events:
You can find complete info here and here.
Everyone have a wonderful week!

Thank you both also, LINDY and BRENDA. I hope to make a good decision! My son has also been on the phone, giving advice. So if I get it wrong, it won't be for lack of information. Watch this space....
Diane, Thanks for starting the week for us. I am usually fast asleep at 3.10am and I sleep right through until it is time to get up. I would love to see the eclipse though. Oh, decisions - decisions.
Linda, Beautiful photographs of the flower show. I wanted to see the Hampton Court flower show this year, but circumstances didn't allow. I do agree though, I always come home with aching feet after all the walking.
Heather, Sorry that your OH remembered the wrong day. OH is helping to clear out the green, club house for the winter, tomorrow and starts playing indoor bowls on Tuesday. I start playing tomorrow afternoon. I have to remember to play with less effort than is needed for the outside game. LOL I have also enrolled for indoor tennis until the Spring. I am hoping that OH's eye hospital appointment goes well in a couple of weeks, so that we can finally book a holiday in the sun.
Off to watch Downton , which starts shortly.
OG, You have obviously been enjoying yourself. Pleased to see you are coping so well with all your late nights.
BRENDA - I have been meaning to ask after your OH's eyes; I am sure you must be ready for a "real" holiday away after all he has been through, and shall be thinking of him coming up to his appointment. Enjoy all the indoor sports, both of you.
HEATHER - our main TV is a Samsung - not a Smart TV as our DMR is a smart machine instead. The one in the dining room was a cheapo from the Co-op and now has one of J's DVDs stuck in it!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Me too. OH tells me it is like a soap opera :-(
Gosh OG, Now I'm going to have to look up DMR!!!
Agree, BRENDA, it would be great to have the all clear and book a sunshine holiday x
Brenda: There won't be another big perigee moon coinciding with a total lunar eclipse until 2033. :-)))
Heather: HD (high definition) is great! Definitely get that.
But if I were making the decision, I'd avoid 3D technology. 3D could give you bad headaches, but more important, it could really damage the eyes of young grandchildren. I don't know about the technology in Smart TVs, but I know about the medical research on 3D. It's hard on your eyes. Hope that doesn't sound bossy. :-)
Brenda: I so hope your OH's eye appointment goes well.
Diane, Yes, I had just realised that there won't be another until 2033. Another 18 yearsI I would like to think that I may still be around, but........... I don't want to think about that LOL
