HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Anyone can watch the partial solar eclipse here. U.K.: tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m. Eastern U.S.: tonight at 12:30 a.m.California: tonight at 9:30 p.m.
I am home now as we had a phone call that the bowls match was cancelled by the away team. Very heavy rain overnight and on off heavy rain showers up to now, today. So looking forward to a dry weekend. We have been out for lunch.
Lynette, So pleased to hear that your daughter has started her job and is happy there.
Margo, Good to see that you managed to post. How dare you stand on poor Billie's tale. LOL She will probably wake you even earlier tomorrow morning !!OH was relieved to see Tottenham win last night, but does not think they will be as lucky against better teams. So pleased your TV was connected in time.
Heather, You really must pay more attention to what your OH is saying LOL

tBoL we should have seen him in May be had to postpone due to illness. This will be mr 3rd time. I am a huge fan and know he will be awesome.
I guess you are watching the Davis cup, Margo. Looks an easy match for Andy.
Pouring with rain here.
Brenda yes I am watching don't know if you saw Andy will donate £50 for every ace he serves for the refugees pouring into Europe. I must say I find it so upsetting when you see the pictures of terrified children caught up in amongst such huge crowds.
We had a very heavy shower earlier but sun is out again at the moment.
I hope you have had your afternoon nap.
I also hate to see the children suffering, but I didn't like to see the fights among the refugees, shown on the news today. It is hard to see where such vast numbers will eventually settle. There was even another refugee death on the Euro train last night. There are still big problems there.
Billie and I both had a nap and is still friends with me as she has not left my side.
Refugee problem is out of control but I cannot see how European countries, including the UK, have the means to take them all in.
Good to see posts from MARGO here and on Facebook. Have a good weekend, and enjoy the planning for theatre trips and get-togethers.
I realised I am too late to wish GEORGE a good weekend, as you will have set off by now, and I hope the disruptions around Dalwhinnie this morning did not affect your journey north. Enjoy the time with your Son and Daughter-in-law, and we shall be thinking of you on Monday when you have the ultrasound - and then hopefully some answers!
HEATHER - you were right about J's job - he is in "Learning Support". This is different in Scotland from England, and he is attached to specific children - this year back at Annan Academy, mostly with S1 pupils.
EVERYONE - excuse lack of personal replies. I have enjoyed reading, but can't get my head around much at the moment. Sister-in-law went into Altzheimers care three weeks ago and was settling well, but died rather sooner than expected, this morning. Of course, no arrangements made yet, so we don't know whether a necessary trip south for E-E will affect our planned trip north. Loads of other stuff going on too, so feeling rather muddled.
E-E is still suffering with his ear, so is about to return to the Doc this afternoon, having finished his ABs yesterday. He has also begun a series of six dental appointments to make repairs to his bottom teeth which were wearing away and changes to his top denture which has been causing the wear! I had my blood tests this morning.
Will probably stay silent for a while, and come back when we know what we are doing!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
My condolences EE and OG. It must have been such a shock for you both. I will remember you both and your sister / sister- in- law in my prayers. {{{ HUGS }}} to you both. X
I hope the Doc will be of more help this time, EE and prescribe a cure, or possibly it will be more AB's.
MARGO - to see you chatting today is brilliant! I'm very glad that Billie is still friends with you. She knows which side her bread is buttered on, for sure.
My OH is uncharacteristically animated this afternoon, next door (not Hally Racket, the other side) are building something in their back garden and OH is very curious to know what it will be.
I'd better go and cook, we had a visitor just as I started this post and so have just dashed upstairs to finish it.
So sorry to read of your loss OG and EE
