As usual, Monty is still with us into September (although his family all seem to have gone) - and there's always Blue 24....

All my pics and vids are "just in case..." ;-)
Morning ALL. What absolutely magical pics and vids of the Barn Owl and Tawny Owl. It certainly makes me realise how different yet how similar they are. Super duper!
From chat:
11.07: Is that Monty eating a fish? Or Blue 24?
11:09 - Janine_MWT : Monty back with no fish. Looks like 24 had better luck.
I can't see any sign of either at the moment. A sunny day, with a view over the nest towards the perch and the 360 Observatory.

So the above video is later than the last Chat report - but I didn't 'do' osprey-with-fish - it didn't catch my eye so I didn't look for it.

Unbeknownst to me - I did! I took this snap earlier, it was chosen because the sun was 'out', not because I saw the osprey, which I shall get a better shot of in a minnit:
Amazing camera work the Dyfi team manage to do. Is that the river or the effect of a very high tide?
Good heavens. I was watching a crow make itself at home on the nest, it was preening, when it flew close to the mike and cawed! Made me jump out of my skin, it was so unexpected!
Crow has returned as a noisy train passes by too. No peace in the countryside!
It has now dropped down to the far side of the nest, where he sat before. Must be a comfy perch LOL
A second crow, with a deeper caw has just arrived, but the incumbent wasn't happy about it and saw it off.... for now.

The second crow has returned, picking at left overs, and another train is heard to pass by.
The first crow flew off, and the second followed. ENS once more

Dyfi Osprey Project
Pinch, punch, first of the month.
Monty is still with us, as is Blue 24. (Here he is at 06:00 this morning - as if peering out from a 1950's B&W film!)
Three things to let you know:
1. The Dyfi Osprey Project will remain open until 30 September. We are open 10am-4pm everyday.
2. The Live Streaming and Live Chat will remain open until 30 September also.
3. Cors Dyfi Reserve will be open everyday thereafter, throughout the winter.
