HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's chat thread is here.
Hi, all. I just thought I'd start the new thread since Annette has been busy with family/friends and is probably tired.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Not long before autumn now.
lost a post an hour ago so no time to write it again........
Know the feeling, LINDY :-(
What a Monday! Sometime during a miserable night OH agreed that he would visit his Doc. I phoned every ½ hour from 7 am until office opened & booked him for 10.30 am. Then rang Dau to say I would be late, very late. I drove OH to Doc, he was coughing, had earache, was becoming very deaf and he (!) suggested I go in with him. Doc was only ½ hour late. Ear & chest infection, 2 lots of antibiotics. OH had convinced himself he had whooping cough, but Doc said no. Can he tell without a test? There is an epidemic whooping the city this winter. I took OH home installed ear drops, got him some lunch and arrived at Dau’s almost 3 hours later than usual. To be greeted by screams. Twins had woken from morning nap together. MissJ wanted a cuddle after her nappy change and not from Miss3. She did not like being put aside while MissL was changed. I calmed the sobs, then a few chores (folded yesterday’s washing, hung out new lot, washed pots & pans), coughing all the way. By 3.30 pm twins down for pm nap and me too. The day wasn’t too bad, mostly refereeing between the 3 kids who always want the same toy. I helped with kids’ tea as s-i-l was late from work and I didn’t get home til 6.40 pm. First more ear drops for OH, then my homemade pasties he had heated. I was tired and wanted to go to bed early but we wanted to fit a 3rd dose in before bedtime. I woke on lounge, book in hand, at 9.30 pm to find OH in bed fast asleep. I slept sitting up on lounge as every time I lie down, my coughing gets worse. I do think I am slightly better. Must make some soup for his lunch as he is eating so little.
Lindybird: Looking forward to the sparrow hawk pix along with all the others. Sorry about the post (hope it didn't include any pix).
OG: Emptying fountain to see what kind of pump we need to get as a replacement is on tomorrow's list. Birds are still coming by to have a drink though. Re the ironing, what is BBL?
Heather: Will you replace the cypress hedge? I'm assuming the cat in those images was clueless about what was going on outside the door.
AQ: Oh geez. Do hope Tuesday is better. Sounds awful! Assume Miss L and Miss J have had their DPT shots (for whooping cough). Ugh. Take care. Heard on the radio today that there's a chance we'll be asking for firefighters from OZ to help with our multiple wildfires...
Took almost-classic truck for major shampoo and rinse this morning, then took photos as first step toward selling it. Hate to do it, but again, I'm the one who takes care of it and standing on a step ladder while wielding high-pressure spray thingy to make sure the top of the truck gets washed is getting old. It's too big to fit in a drive-thru wash. OH has balance issues, so not a good idea for him to try it even though he's offered. Yoga this afternoon: Went in tired and creaky, came out so refreshed - just love it!
Have a good Tuesday all.
Hi, all.
AQ: I hope you and your OH feel much better soon!!!
Annette: Good luck with the fountain. I hope you get lots of gentle rain, but no damaging storms with the El Nino. That bear video was interesting!
I won't be on here for a couple of days. I'm going to take some time to do some hiking, meditating, and grooming, as well as having a long, serious talk with myself about my life. Will be back, hopefully enlightened. LOL LOL

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Diane: Hiking and meditating sound wonderful. I'm wondering how grooming fits in (no need to answer!). Take care. Will look forward to seeing you soon.
Clare: Hmmm, sounds like a good day to be doing admin work!
This stunning bird has just paid us a visit:
Isn't she beautiful?
Clare: What is it (woodpecker?)
