Three's a crowd! Yesterday there was a persistent intruder around quite a lot. Odin was alarm calling on and off for most of the day. It approached the nest several times and touched down briefly at 20.08 but made a full landing with Odin there at 20.18. It was only there for a minute before both birds took to the air.
We did however have some lovely viewing from the mobile cam. Thank you cam operator. EJ was especially lovely to watch as she sat and preened in the camera tree with the VC in the distance. Also Odin Skydancing and delivering a big fish to EJ was lovely to see from a side angle.
What will today bring? Watch this space :)

This is all I've got of the fish - but it looks a magnificent blur!
EDIT to replace pic with "clearer" one???

Odin stays on to tidy up after he has cleaned his beak which takes ages. He potters and nestcups.

I see we have ENS at this moment in time some really lovely captures this morning thank you all.

I keep getting distracted by the fly caught in the spiders web.
Belated hello to Clare, Birdsong, Limpy and anyone else I've missed.
I will be in and out this morning, but I'll try to keep up.
What is that "booming" I keep hearing? It sounds like the canon that farmers fire, to keep the geese of their crops, near Slimbridge.
New view. EJ :)
Someone on the nest (sound) No calls.
Quickly flown
Odin really does look magnificent on the lichen branch - his white breast seems to glow, looks so artistic!
