Three's a crowd! Yesterday there was a persistent intruder around quite a lot. Odin was alarm calling on and off for most of the day. It approached the nest several times and touched down briefly at 20.08 but made a full landing with Odin there at 20.18. It was only there for a minute before both birds took to the air.
We did however have some lovely viewing from the mobile cam. Thank you cam operator. EJ was especially lovely to watch as she sat and preened in the camera tree with the VC in the distance. Also Odin Skydancing and delivering a big fish to EJ was lovely to see from a side angle.
What will today bring? Watch this space :)

Woken up to find EJ on the nest :-)

Morning, Birdsong - nice to see her back on the nest:
She has flown.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

EJ's back and calling for fish
I love those gentle chirps of hers:
She's still waiting. Awwwww.
Morning all. Thanks for updates so far. Clare enjoy Minsmere today
I hope it's a very big fish. EJ has been calling for 45 minutes.

If it's any comfort, BIRDSONG, I'm having a helluva time here today. Started out fine, then suddenly nothing would work and I've had to resort to Internet Explorer :o
CLARE, so glad to hear your Minsmere career will start today (or did you make it already and I missed it? Anyway, it means that Helen is better, yay!).
