Getting a late start tonight, but no rush. EJ on nest; all is quiet.
Cirrus: I always find it helps! ;-))
I know that I'm probably in the minority but I'd love to see a fourth egg.
Thanks for info on Odins recent visit: I was in the shower! (we must somehow keep up with the normal life even when glued to this screen....)
And here the boy comes with moss ! NO fish.
So then he flies off and back and straddles EJ no doubt trying to get her off the eggs so he can sit them. Hopefully now he's off fishing as the 'official' way of ousting her from the eggs.
On the Official Osprey Blog, Teresa_ has kindly put a video link of the 3rd egg's arrival. At the end of the video, you can clearly see all 3 eggs.
Thanks so much for the heads up on Teresa's video clip Lindybird
OK, what was THAT bird call please - not a green woodpecker - more like a Loon would sound. Anyone please??
Thanks Linda. I just caught EJ returning to the nest. I presume she has just had a short flight.
Yes Brenda, short exercise flight
Good mornng (again) Lindybird. Just watched the video and what a wonderful sight to see. Made me feel quite emotional. I hope she stops at 3 as we know how well all 3 did last year. I really felt for her sitting there in the cold, alone and with snow on the nest. I think it is EJ calling for Odin at the moment. Probably wants him to take over for a while which I am sure he will do very soon. I wonder if there have been any fish yet for her. The wind does seem to have died down considerably but I wish it would warm up a bit for them. Now we have to patient and wait for the hatching of 3 healthy chicks hopefully.
