Yesterday was a good day for seeing Odin and EJ, and some wonderful captures of both ospreys we posted on the DU.
We should all thank the cam operator at Loch Garten which enabled us to get some good shots of EJ and Odin.
Well a new day has started and all is very quiet on the nest in fact you guess it ENS.
I hope we will have much the same today panning the cam around LG.

EJ is still where she was:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
He's back on the nest (sound)
Ah there he is :)

Back to EJ again
She's happily scoffing in between looking around her for any other unwanted visitors.
When I have volunteered ej and odin will very much mantle at buzzards and chase them. However that has been when there have been chicks to whom a buzzard is very much a threat.
What a lovely start to the day. Hello!!!
Many thanks to Limpy for starting us off, to CC for keeping the updates coming and for the super fish delivery vid, and to Scylla for filling in the gaps (I hope you sort out your stabilisers!). I am glad to see Moffer back with us, and hope your early morning visit went well.
The 05.11 fish delivery is serving EJ well! Or has she been for a sneaky fishing trip herself to supplement the meal? I saw Odin on the nest, briefly. What super cam shots they were of him.
11.08 EJ continues to eat her fish on the branch.

Hi Sheila :)
EJ's really enjoying that fish.
Lmac I seem to recall reports of Odin seeing off buzzard too. On the other hand there is a nest on the bank at RW, with young, and yet they are co-existing with little interaction. I have to say I was surprised when I saw the nest so close to the nest in the Water.
I HAVE TO do some ironing, but I'm watching and will be back if needed ;)
EJ is looking around again at present.
That fish must be enormous, or else it is an optical illusion. Every time she takes a bite (and she is continuing to eat!) a large something beneath the branch she is sitting on moves around too. You can see it in Moffer's pic above, the pinkish coloured 'dangly' piece.
