Sounds like she's flown
Brilliant updates, Moffer. Wow, what a boy Odin has been today!

I don't think the nest has EVER looked as good as it does now. Odin is very nest proud. EJ brought a clump in earlier and has been pottering too. Odin has really up'd his game on the fish front. I have to say that they look like a rock solid pair again. I was a bit concerned at one point.
I agree. I think the period of incessant intruding really did take its toll on Odin in particular, but EJ too. The urges and hormones racing thru them brought them back to the nest for breeding and initially all was going so well. I think this will be one of those seasons which I remember. Having said that, is any season really normal? Perhaps last year?
2012 had a profound effect on me. I was so upset to see chick #3 denied food and picked on to it's demise. To this day I can't watch a nest where the youngest chick has to fight for food. Earlier in the year the youngest chick at Manton Bay missed a few meals and I had to stop watching. So happy to see all are well and near fledging now.
I don't think that there is ever a normal year. This year at Lowes is about as perfect as it gets though.
