After the horrendous weather and lack of sightings on the static nest cam on Sunday, we hoped for better yesterday.
The weather was much improved, but we were still on the static nest cam, No sight or sound of any Osprey at all until 12.50pm when Odin landed defending the nest. At just gone 1pm a BTO ringed intruder landed briefly, and then again a few minutes later. Odin gave chase and we didn't see it again. Odin remained very alert with eyes to the sky often after that.
All was quiet until just gone 4pm and EJ landed :) Odin returned and they spent a few minutes together before she retreated to the campost. That was all we saw of EJ today. We heard her calling from the campost though.
Odin started on major nestorations, bringing in some pretty big sticks, and kept going on and off the nest until 10.37pm, so lots of sightings of Odin yesterday.
What will today bring? Fish and a mobile camera please :)

Hi everyone i am lurking as usual . Thanks for all the posts which keep us up to date. It is such a pleasure to be able to follow all the goings on and view the magnificent captures of the birds. Sadly no chicks but this has to have been the best year for pictures .
Identifidcation of E.J. and Odin has been made so much easier.
Thank you all. Have to switch off as I cant hear over the
tremendous rumbles ot thunder and torrential rain at the moment.

This is what you saw Moffer, a rain drop falling over the lens. I saw it earlier and expected to see feet and legs, but it materialised into a rain drop!
Have a lovely time in Vermont CC!
