After the horrendous weather and lack of sightings on the static nest cam on Sunday, we hoped for better yesterday.
The weather was much improved, but we were still on the static nest cam, No sight or sound of any Osprey at all until 12.50pm when Odin landed defending the nest. At just gone 1pm a BTO ringed intruder landed briefly, and then again a few minutes later. Odin gave chase and we didn't see it again. Odin remained very alert with eyes to the sky often after that.
All was quiet until just gone 4pm and EJ landed :) Odin returned and they spent a few minutes together before she retreated to the campost. That was all we saw of EJ today. We heard her calling from the campost though.
Odin started on major nestorations, bringing in some pretty big sticks, and kept going on and off the nest until 10.37pm, so lots of sightings of Odin yesterday.
What will today bring? Fish and a mobile camera please :)
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Thank you MOFFER! It looks as tho Odin is continuing as he left off - am just going to check but may have a problem because Firefox asked to be updated with an intrusive box >:(
IMAGICAT
There's been rain on 'n off but it stopped before Odin landed.
Demo ;-)
First landing 0232hr:
He stayed 10 minutes nearly!
Back again 5 minutes later and he's still on the nest as I type:
Stood looking out with his back to us. flew off to the right.
Getting lighter:
EDIT - My recording laptop's screen is so much brighter than this one - it doesn't look lighter after I've posted it here :-/ Little bit of sky in top left corner ;-)
Not found any skydancing.
Have to take a break for grocery man soon.
All quiet and empty.
Definitely getting lighter now:
On the nest:
"An error occurred" >:(
DAYCAM 0400hr:
Odin landed in a buffer.
He'a been dancing and flapping around the nest.
Odin's antics:
Off he flew!
But he's been on and off again since!!!

Stayed 1m30s that time:
Someone's on the campost - a tiny peep, can't say it's EJ because now we know that Odin makes similar sounds.
But I do think it's her now, her having continued in fish-pleading mode.
