Soggy capture PATILY, thank you, two alone in the soggy nest
At least, unless the third is hiding
All three there now Cirrus.
Birdies LG DU update.
Morning, all. I think it's Merin with the fish.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

The other two have flown.

Yesterday seemed the same BRENDA - flounder after flounder. I wondered if they were easier to catch in the torrential rain than mullet. Not so easy to eat though or so meaty ,but at least kept the precious youngsters warm over night
That makes sense, Cirrus. As flounder is a flat fish there would be more of it visible to anyone looking down on it, especially a bird like an osprey.
I gather that flounder are much easier to catch on the edge of the ebbing tide, CIRRUS. Very hard work for a young osprey though. Monty did deliver a small trout
yesterday evening.
Merin still tucking in alone.
Good points CLARE and BRENDA - off to work now
