Glesni returns with dried grass and starts shouting for a fish
© MWT
Glesni has just returned after a long absence. No sign of Monty
She has left and the chicks have settled down again.
Monty arrives with a fish supper. Glesni starts feeding the chicks
The camera just went to the unused nest and I'm sure I saw a mating pair of ospreys on there. Was that Monty and Blue 24?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Clare, I only just had a look and saw that, too, and I wondered the same thing! Monty keeping his options open? If it was him, or if not, then who?
Kind regards, Ann
It apparently is Blue 24 & Monty!! This from the Dyfi chat:
21:24 - Emyr - MWT : This is completely normal behaviour within an osprey population
Thanks, Granny. Seems he is ensuring that if Glesni does not return next year and Blue 24 does, that he has a ready-made mate!
Glesni still trying to keep her family warm and protected from the wind.
Had to laugh that poor Monty was caught by the camera !!
Night cam is on at 22:00
It is very windy
