Yesterday started well with Skydancing at just gone 3am. Watching the cam with sound is fantastic. Thank you Jen for sorting it out.
Odin delivered a large whole fish to EJ at 5.20am and then fetched himself one. We saw the evidence in his extended crop later, about 6.45am.
Odin pottered on the nest until 8.30am but we didn't see EJ.
Both birds were absent from the nest (static cam) until just before 3pm when Odin started a marathon nesting building session, bringing in sticks and moss and nest cupping in very windy weather, He also treated us all to another skydance :) This carried on until 7.15pm. Still no EJ seen on the nest.
At 8.50pm EJ appeared. She stayed around the nest area, sometimes calling for fish until 11pm when Odin delivered her half a fish.
Another happy peaceful day at the LG nest.
We also had news of Breagha this evening. He is still in France on the Loire River.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
More sound flaps and a tweet, but Odin was standing looking over the back of the nest, certainly not flapping.
16.49 and he has flown

Flap/landing sound again, but ENS.
Distant alarm calls..............becoming alarm shrieks.
My sound is also out Sheila. I don't think it's EJ on the campost, just out of sync, almost like an echo.
That darn feather is still there :)
Thanks for the reassurance Moffer.

LOL. It looks even more like a broken egg now.
Edit: the wind has blown it again! It looks like a feather once more now
I wonder if Odin has gone to chase the intruder away. Still ENS
Quite possibly.
I can hear the sound of falling rain. Forecast temps suggest gusty thunderstorms at Boat of Garten in the afternoon, with temps of 28 and overnight of 15. Amazing.
You commented this morning that Odin's crop was full, apparently EJ and Odin flew off at 06.19 - as you reported. Odin returned at 06.57, with a large fish and landed on a tree within sight of the FH. He was still eating it at 08.00!!
Still ENS
I can hear alarm calls again......distant

Wow. He did look full, and no wonder. I hope EJ went fishing and got a big fish too.
