Well today was a wet day at Loch Garten so there was not quite so much going on. Loch Garten did publish a blog telling us that Breagha has setlled into his favourite stopover place in the Loire Valley.
One question that keeps coming up is whether Odin and EJ might migrate early?
Well there is just no reason to believe that they will. The nest failed in 2005 and 2007 and EJ migrated on 18th August 2005 and 19th August 2007. See EJ profile
As always the nest has to be defending. Letting a new couple settle in over the summer would be a very serious mistake.
Tiger Signature
Not a peep, which is ironic as we have NO SOUND AGAIN!
Nothing seen. Cam not moved, still on ENS.

Thankyou for Photographs MaryGK. They stir wonderful memories. That must have been my 6th. year. This year apart from the sadness of losing the eggs) has been spectacular in the footage of Ej and odin bonding especially with the moving camera. Hello to Scylla Tiger Moffer and all who keep us so wonderfully up to date.

Morning ALL, and such a sad sight of an ENS this morning (I've been watching/listening to LotL just for some action, but it's not quite the same).
Thank you Tiger for starting us off again. I would still like to think that Odin and EJ are nearby as they have been recently, but that the cam person is otherwise engaged. When I visited on 30 May Nimrod was often scanning the camera to try to find Odin. EJ arrived and had been calling loudly for a fish. Perhaps he is taking a spot of leave.
Mary, thank you so much for that wonderful trip down memory lane, it was indeed such a super season with wonderful camera shots and two screens we could use too, oh yes as with the sound you just had to turn down when Bynack started!
With no sound and what appears to be such a still day, I really can't decide whether the cam is frozen or not. A refresh suggests not.
I hope your eye(s?) has improved Moffer.

Bynack and Tore were the first juveniles I also watched and I was so gutted about Tore. A piece of me still wants to believe that Bynack is out there somewhere.
Good morning Hellen, nice to see you. Completely off topic, but as it is so quiet I thought I would enquire how the Lochter nest is this season. I am sure I read that once more a buzzard took at least one of the chicks. So sad.
TEMPO My first full year was 2008 with Nethy and Deshar, and we all watched Deshars red line (now been changed to black on the map) stretch further and further our into the Atlantic, almost following a line of buoys. Having seen none of the LG chicks return to the UK I am really bursting at the thought that Breagha might be the first to return to our shores.
Good morning everyone. Yes I am confident that Odin and EJ will stay around. Over at that other nest (Blue XD and Green J) the nest has failed but Green J has gone on holiday leaving Blue XD to hold the fort. It will be interesting if he comes over to Loch Garten at any point.
Mary and Scylla. Those montages are great for identification purposes. We need lots of those.
Also good to be reminded of the chicks from yesteryear.

The wild violent Nethy
A lovely photo of Nethy, Tiger, thank you.
We still have ENS, and absolutely no panning of the cam. :(
I have to go out now. BBL. Still ENS
