Another day of watching Odin and EJ at Loch Garten. There certainly are a rich store of captures available from this season.
Had the eggs at Loch Garten been allowed to hatch it seems likely that there would have been three rapidly growing chicks in the nest by now.
However Loch Garten history is proving useful elsewhere. At Glaslyn the female is incubating what are a sixth and a seventh egg. Now no one really knows how eggs like these will behave as it is such a rare happening. However in 2007 EJ laid seven eggs (4 + 3). The thing was that the second clutch hatched very early at 34 days. Now will the Glaslyn eggs behave similarly? Well we have not got long to wait. We may know by the weekend.

Another thought-provoking OP, thank you TIGER :-)
All quiet at LG, we've been "gifted" (awful word!) a comparatively glary nest tonight...
... with frequent buffers:

No news, no change in the picture. Sounds quite windy still.
An outage at daycam time but I think I got it back up in time:

At last! A presence on the nest! EJ, no less, with 2 pipes ;-)
A flourish after landing:
Looked around:
Yikes! She's gone already :-/
Here's EJ with a chirp to the wind.

Hi scylla - it took me forever to get the last piccie to post. >:-/
It was worth the wait, it's a lovely capture, much better than mine :o :-*

I've narrowed it down to zero seconds and this is the best I can do (not 'enhanced'):
She did an automagical appearing disappearing trick. The cam froze just long enough for a capture, lol.
