Yesterday it was nice to see Odin and EJ in the love tree other than that all was quiet.
We start a new day again all is so quiet and no one on the nest at this moment in time.

Sorry....couldn't resist!!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
LOL Clare,
Another look around, and now cam has settled here.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Another pan around. No Ospreys but someone waving to us again in the VC

Not sure that's quite the right word for Odin, especially given the numerous mating sessions with EJ earlier this year. Sorry....couldn't resist!![/quote] Yes, quite.....! That was one attribute I omitted to mention in my Odin spiel earlier on!! Clare - many thanks for the heads up on the Dyfi thread. Just spent an enjoyable 20 mins looking through the pics. Yes, Monty is indeed a very handsome bird, also evidently with many ardent admirers, one of whom (mentioning no names) wants to "take him home and cuddle him all winter" - along with EJ and Odin, of course! On the same page, Birdie Num Num says that Monty "seems to be doing a reverence, as ballet dancers do at the end of a performance or class". This brings me to my next comment (maybe not as completely bonkers as I'd first thought, seeing someone else has mentioned ballet!) Hss anyone seen the Cuban ballet dancer Carlos Acosta, either live or in a recording? He's incredibly athletic, does amazing jumps and turns etc., but I think the most striking thing about him is his PRESENCE - just the way he stands and holds himself - riveting to watch without moving a muscle. I think Odin (and no doubt Monty) have just the same kind of charisma - commanding posture, and the sense of elegant, controlled, power just waiting to be unleashed. Right, end of waffle!
Odin has flown. Getting ready to fly then disappeared.....poof.
Odin (I think) is back in the love tree
Still there. Sounds like a drop of rain too.

Might have suited Monty before the arrival of the Rutland Belles. They called him 'Miss Monty' for a while.

Odin is still there. I wonder where EJ is. We haven't seen her at all today.
Cam has left Odin in the love tree and moved to the nest.
Wow, what a LOUD plane!
Back to Odin now.
