DAILY UPDATE ~ Loch Garten nest ~Sunday, 14th June 2015.

As a regular lurker I would like to add my gratitude to the experts who keep this thread going 24/7, it is a great joy to see all the little extras that I would otherwise miss. However it carries on I shall continue to read every word of it and watch every video. Thank you all.  

Hello everybody - been tied up again all week, so having a belated catch-up.

Many, many thanks to all for all the great pics, vids and reports that have been posted,  Some fantastic close-up portraits - much appreciated!

Completely agree with what Moffer said the other day, that although there are no chicks, it has been really interesting to see EJ and Odin going about their "normal", non-breeding lives, thanks to the dedication of the LG camera operators. I think it's fascinating that the bond between the pair, and commitment to the nest, seems to be just as strong, even without chicks.

It was suggested that a bird that landed on the nest (either yesterday or the day before - can't remember which) looked like Fenrir.  It looked like Fen to me - and I still wonder, as I suggested a long time ago when he first appeared, if he could be Blue XD's son.  No news yet, presumably, on the identity of 65?

Re the Daily Update, I'll be happy to go along with whatever Scylla, Moffer, and all the other dedicated posters think is best.  Chicks or no chicks, the DU is a valuable and much appreciated resource, and catching up this week, it's been a pleasure to see EJ and Odin both in such handsomely fine fettle.
