WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY, JUNE 7. 2015

Hallo all!

  • Linda - I spent 10 mins weeding yesterday - can't see where I've been!!! I forgot garden today until too late. As for chores, I do food, wash clothes, clean bathroom & kitchen. Dust is a 4 letter word. The vacuum probably has disappeared under the dust!!! I made a big pot of soup today, that should last a few meals, must go & serve it.

  • AQ - If its any small consolation, we have been blowing the dust off everything ever since a small woolly person invaded our lives! Every now & then, I have a good try at dusting around, but it just seems to move to somewhere else, in spite of my OH manfully getting out the hoover. When I do one bit of housework, it just seems to highlight how untidy & dusty everywhere else is! It reminds me of how I felt when I was at home with two small toddlers and the housework never seemed to get done!
  • Good Morning Everyone. A lovely cool sunny morning here, when we went to church earlier. Yesterday's wind has died down, so I didn't need a coat.

The HW is being left until tomorrow. The sunlight is showing the dust here, especially on the TV stand and we don't have a pup.  We need to do some gardening this morning, though, as OH is playing bowls this afternoon. I did the teas for a match, which was played yesterday.

Thanks, Annette for starting our week, again.

AQ, Loved your photographs and although, I do enjoy seeing the different architecture, I do spend quite some time looking at the stained glass windows. It is interesting to see how many churches were once built and used, which are now closed / used for other purposes. You forgot to add that 'over and above' what you do in your own home, you also help so much in your daughter's home, as well as caring for your granddaughters.

Heather, I hope your weather is due to improve. Continuous rain is depressing. Real summer weather must arrive soon !!
I do hope Amy is improving and the nightly, two hourly checks, become unnecessary asap.
So sorry about your car damage.

OG, Wishing you a lovely holiday. ( whenever you check in here )

George, I hope all went well with your cardiologist, last Friday and your scan results will be available quickly for you. Take care.

Linda. Your Baptism photographs of your grandchildren are truly delightful. Such gorgeous children :-))

    Back to the garden.

  • AQ - I enjoyed your photos, particularly the ones of Penola school. I was aware of Mary MacKillop ( her parents were apparently both born in Roybridge) but looking at your pictures made me more curious, So I spent time on various websites finding out more.

BRENDA- the heavens have just opened here, sweary words from OH I'm afraid.

  • Oooops, sorry, Heather. I feel guilty that the sun is shining here, but it seems to be getting cooler.

  • Enjoyed ourselves this morning. Met friends from years ago, when we all used to wait at the school gates for the little ones. We are all grandparents now. We bought a tray of bedding plants for a tub near our front door, which I'd forgotten. Also my OH found a book he didn't already have, (Lee Childs Jack Reacher series) and I persuaded him to buy me a pretty silver necklace I fell in love with!
  • catch up last week when I have time

We enjoyed our couple of nights in Dunblane despite the weather and me adding a cold to my cough. We got home yesterday afternoon, unpacked, down to "The Snowgoose" for a bite to eat, freshen up back home then off to Eden Court to see "Il Travatore". Scottish Opera were wonderful. So glad we got tickets. It was of course a full house.

  • Opera sounds wonderful. Dibnlib Sorry you have a cold now, hope its short lived.
  • Big disappointment Bryan Ferry concert postponed due to illness. Was so looking forward to it, just hope that when it is rearranged it does not clash with my chemo.

  • OH MARGO, What a pity. Yes, hope that you will be on an OK week when it is rescheduled xx
