Following another day of eating and bonding and chilling, the fierce winds continue thru the night. Now and then I hear osprey voices in the distance - probably blown there by the wind, the bird/s could really be quite close by.
The nest is set up nicely for Odin and EJ's early-morning visits:

I wonder why this has stopped?
Quote from the blog
Although both our birds are remaining close to the nest throughout most of the day, they are not always on the nest. For this reason I have switched the webcam from the nest camera to the Camera Tree camera. This is controlled by staff in the Osprey Centre during the day when we are able to locate the birds on their various perches during work hours. Therefore, if the birds are around during the hours of 10am and 6pm then we will switch the camera to the Camera Tree camera but come 6pm, we will return the webcam to the nest camera.
Morning Moffer. Possibly no one can see either EJ or Odin. When I visited for my brief stop last month EJ appeared out of nowhere when she could clearly see Odin, and spent the rest of my time at the VC calling very loudly. The cam panned around, staff viewed thru bins and scopes, but couldn't find Odin at all.
There have been some absolutely wonderful sequences of captures on the nest over the past couple of days. I expect there have been many more over the days before that too, but I haven't caught up with them. So many thanks.
I have been watching an empty nest for the past half hour - I must make a note of the times I am watching!

Morning Sheila, and thanks.
ENS since 09.54
Just a quickie, but did he go to campost? Can hear him still altho disappeared from view.
11.48/9 Odin morphed in and just as quickly morphed out. A slight chirrup off cam. An insect walked across the screen.
Snappy fingers, Scylla! LOL
At last - EJ is here and so is Odin for pronto mating!
EJ landed, followed by Odin for a real quickie. He flew off, and is now calling, watched by an alert EJ.
