Yesterday EJ got fish, an intruder (blue-ringed?) got dispensed with... we think... for no bird was seen thereafter - because the cam went down @ 1306hr, not to recover until evening, whence the nest remained empty.
I missed Odin's piercing skydance (was out of the room, plus speaker low)... he landed to find no EJ waiting for him on the nest!
Excerpt:
As I type, Odin is back on the nest, I have yet to check what brought him here, if indeed it was an external stimulus.
IMAGICAT
Grotty cam gone betta cam back!
EJ has upped her calling and moved to the nest cup
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
I've come to the conclusion that EJ has the most tuneful fish call of all the ospreys I watch - she always sounds so sweet!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
EJ has flown
Odin has landed, followed by EJ.
