Yesterday EJ got fish, an intruder (blue-ringed?) got dispensed with... we think... for no bird was seen thereafter - because the cam went down @ 1306hr, not to recover until evening, whence the nest remained empty.
I missed Odin's piercing skydance (was out of the room, plus speaker low)... he landed to find no EJ waiting for him on the nest!
Excerpt:
As I type, Odin is back on the nest, I have yet to check what brought him here, if indeed it was an external stimulus.
IMAGICAT
Morning, Moffer. EJ is back:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

She's calling persistently.

I couldn't see anything for the glare Moffer and Nanna said she couldn't see a size so I guess she was having the same trouble. Maybe when Scylla returns she may be able to check her recording.
Birdies LG DU update.
Sorry Moffer, I'm not able to post videos, hopeless technophobe! I was hoping one of you could find it if I recorded the time!
At a best guess 4/5 inches of tail end!
She's still on the nest. calling intermittently.
Thank you Mike and Nanna. I call this view grotty cam, and I can only watch it for very short periods.
I've been watching on and off since about 6.45. I'll be so glad when they put nest cam proper back on.
