WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY, MAY 31, 2015

Hallo all!  Pies, champagne, snacks on some folks menus and yes, OG, you will get addicted to BBC Rewind.

  • Have a rather hilarious vision of you as a naughty teenager, Clare, LOL!
  • ANNETTE  thinking about it, is as far as I will get, but started the day off with a walk and swim, then an hours walk up to the sea lock. We were lucky enough to see a Heron fishing. This aft we got some of our bedding plants and OH has started to plant up the tubs. Another walk and then the rain set in.

Booked for a couple of nights at Dunblane Hydro (Thurs and Fri ) and home in time for a visit to Eden Court and Il Travatore. Benson will be coming with us.

  • dibnlib - that sounds as though Benson is going with you to Il Travatore!!!  Enjoy Dunblane and hopefully the weather will be better than currently - way too much fresh snow on the tops for this time of the year.

  • Sorry I didn't get back on here - successful shopping trip, but then had to wash the new shirts ready for next week - and, of course, they were several different colours!  Thankfully there was other stuff to wash with them.

"Men" were out this evening, but I spent most of the time chatting to Daughter#2.  So now nearly bedtime.  Got to attempt a gardening job tomorrow, before an appointment with the bathroom designer.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • I've been chatting to family, too - little Matthew already has two bottom teeth and is now getting a top pair as well. He is thriving, and sleeping well at night. Unbelievably, he's nearly 8 months old already! Little Tomasz, his big brother, is four and a half this week (the half is of course very important, when you are a small person).
  • Good Morning, All. Wet here, but the wind is dying down. My OH has been out with Bonnie, and lost her for a while - when he finally found her, she had an already dead bird in her mouth, and wouldn't come to him, nor give it back. She eventually came home with him, and he managed to prise it out of her mouth.
  • A few catch-up points from yesterday!

Brenda – I hope that your OH got on well with the eye test and this is the final change of lenses for a while – must be getting quite expensive!

Linda – Bonnie is good at thinking up new tricks – maybe she could win Britain’s got talent next time around – a pity there isn’t a prize for the “strangest items eaten”!

Dibnlib – sounds like a good day for you yesterday, with walks and gardening. Enjoy Dunblane – I love the town and the walk up Allan Water. I hope Benson enjoys opera – I thought the same as LizLFW when I read your post!

This morning is still windy here, but dry so far. The rain mid-evening was a really heavy downpour – more like a storm than a shower! It had stopped by the time the men arrived from their meetings, but there was more in the night. OH is drying bathroom floor from a shower-spill by J – will be glad when we get the new one installed!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Hallo all: I see everything is going along fairly well with new teeth, a new shower in the offing for OG, etc.

I'm off to dentist then lunch with friend I haven't seen in almost two months.  Lovely day here...

  • They've just shown the Ospreys at Foulshaw Moss Reserve (Wetlands Trust) as they have once again managed to produce three eggs, and there are now three bobble heads there :-). This was on our NW News, as its in Cumbria. Aaaaah!
  • Hope the dentist is just a check-up, Annette, and you can enjoy your lunch out. We've had sunshine & showers here, and the wind is still gusty.
