WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY, MAY 31, 2015

Hallo all!  Pies, champagne, snacks on some folks menus and yes, OG, you will get addicted to BBC Rewind.

  • Lindy I am so lucky to receive the treatment and endless support from the cancer clinic. Always sorry when I have a little moan.

  • EJ still stuffing the big fish!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • You're not moaning, Margo. Just telling us how things are. Hey, the sun is out, here.....going to get in some bedding plants we bought this morning, and trim the lawn a bit.

If anyone needs cheering up the LG cam is focused on EJ on a branch with a huge fish.

Argh, I was out & I missed it.

[/quote]She's still on the perch with it.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Quick look in! OH busy – I have been also, but a short break now. Out tonight at General Interest Group – a botanist talking about species spreading our way due to climate change.

Linda – tidy gardens and puppies don’t go together – I well remember it! Good luck with the sorting for the charity shop. Great to see Bonnie watching TV!

AQ – more from teens and now even pre-teens: “They should organise stuff for us to do” contradicted by “We don’t want to be told what to do”!

Clare – sorry, don’t record Unsprung, and we are way behind with the actual series. Would have been nice to see Limpy’s moment of fame!

Margo – pleased the treatment programme is still okay – shame about reverting to 4 weeks rather than 5, but best to be safe.

I see EJ is still on the branch – too full to fly?!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

She did fly off to another perch for a while - and Odin joined her - but I think an intruder was about so she flew back to this perch.

  • Very quick look in as off to Ventura for various errands today.

Lindybird: Fab shots of Bonnie at the TV (do I see claw marks on that piece of furniture)?

Margo: It never fails to bring a smile to my face to read your good news.

Clare: No idea about Unsprung. Is it anywhere online?

OG: Weren't you going off somewhere for a few days?

AQ: Hope nanny duty will be a snap and get even easier at some point (ummm - when they go to nursery school?)

    take care all

  • CLARE - thanks for filling in my gaps re EJ.

ANNETTE - yes - off on Sunday, two night stop in Lancashire to visit WWT Martin Mere, then to Mid Wales until following Sunday.  Looks as if we might get summer while we are there! (I call it Mid Wales, but I think it claims to be South Snowdonia - between the Mawdach and the Dyfi, so you can guess where we are headed one of the days!)

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • No time to watch EJ, sadly, as have had to get on in the garden. My OH was out, so I battled on: OG is right that puppies and gardening don't mix! She stole the nearly empty compost bag, and ran around the lawn with it. I tried to fill some tubs with plants, but it took me twice as long as she kept interrupting me, and I had to keep a lot of implements and pots out of her reach! Then she got so excited when I got out my electric trimmer, she ran around barking, and barged into a solar light on a stake, and broke it! I expect I'll finish tomorrow when she's out for a walk with my OH........
