Fighting To Hold On to The Nest.
 
This has not been a good season for EJ, Odin or Loch Garten - now it is all about holding onto the nest. Both EJ and Odin have been up against it, continually having to ward off intruders.  As for having any more eggs this season I believe that it could only end up in failure.
Personally I believe the season is over chick wise and I pray that it is.
Yesterday was much the same as the last few days and Fenrir doing his utmost to give Odin a hard time and I am sure he is trying to win over EJ.
We saw EJ with a half-eaten fish - the question is did EJ go fishing herself or did one of the males bring it to her?
The abandoned egg still remains in the nest cup - I do wish Odin or EJ would kick it out.  Nature can be so lovely at times but can also be so harsh. Whatever we say or think we should always remember ospreys will do what ospreys do and we should not judge them in there world.
Now we start a new day so sit back and watch – it’s all in the life of an osprey.
