Daily Updaters who weren't here yesterday are strongly recommended to visit pages 4, 5 and 6 of yesterday's DU, where those who were active posted scrumptious captures of Odin the Magnificent posing on branches (and perhaps some hazy, distant views of EJ) - the result of a second day of delights provided by Jen and her team at the Centre.
It was a day when EJ was in danger of losing her voice, despite getting a piece of fish fairly early on; and a day of more bonding - keep it up, you two, to be even stronger next season.
It was also a day when we needed LG to be "good", as we poignantly heard of happy events at other nests which EJ and Odin will forego this year.

And another treat from the Centre - an unglary nest hosting its lonely egg:
Woke to find Odin on the nest on my iPad but by the time I'd sorted out my broadband connection on my lapop, he'd flown. So a few minutes ago, he was standing on the back, right hand side of the nest - looking around as if he was listening for something. (Now must go put the bins out!)

Bins put out, birds singing here in London, Radio Chaffinch at LG as I see day cam has come on
Was just about to say Goodnight when Odin arrived!
Odin looking out from back of nest
Now I really must go back to sleep!
Thank you, Scylla for the new DU and your summary - it is so good that the LG staff are able to move the camera for us to find our pair. Seeing the bobbleheads at LotL and MB (with almost matching arrivals of 3rd chicks!) it is sad to see the empty nest at LG with the unkickable egg.
Perhaps a year off from the hard work of raising chicks will somehow benefit EJ and Odin - just trying to put a positive spin on it.
Oh, Odin has flown.
Thank You Scylla for opening the new thread, and the mention to check the DU of yesterday. Thank you to everyone who posted pics and posts on yesterdays update, I am just about to catch up as chasing my tail at the moment.
Morning Birdsong and all who arrive on the DU today
When I opened the webcam Odin had arrived for a spot of you know what, then off he went leaving EJ doing her one legged pose.

Morning Scylla and Birdsong, thanks for your intro and reports/pics so far. Just put computer on to do some early morning work, and as usual, couldn't resist a sneaky peep at the webcam to see what's happening. And saw a DELIGHTFUL domestic scene - 2 gorgeous birds pottering contentedly on the nest. Then Odin flew off, and back, for a quick bonding mating - oh, and he's just had another one.
Scylla, I know it's really sad that we won't have chicks here this year, but I'm still just pleased and SO RELIEVED (after being convinced that we had lost Odin, and then seeing EJ so miserable) to see both birds in fine fettle, and continuing to bond and defend the nest. It's such a privilege to watch them.
Morning Mary - didn't know you were here!
Morning Oldshoremore. :-) It can be lethal when you just intend to come for a sneaky peak, I know always end up staying much longer than I intend to. Got a lot to be getting on with but its hard to drag myself away. LOL...
EJ and Odin have just landed on the nest again, EJ giving gentle peeps.
