Last night when I started the DU thread I thought it might almost be the last one of the year. Little I knew that come morning EJ would be back incubating the egg.
EJ did spend most of the day on the egg but has now abandoned it again.
So we reach 22 May traditionally the last day for egg laying in the osprey season in Scotland. It is hard to believe that the egg laying season is over for another year and the hatching is about to begin. The male ospreys are going to have a hard time for the next one hundred or so days.
For once Odin will be excused.

EJ didn't arrive, Odin left! :'(
Skydancing included and I haven't edited out any of his standing still.
He didn't look at us once!
These are the best views of the fish, the blurry one showing its length - the best fish he's brought for a long time!
