I understand that it was a quiet day on the nest on Sunday. Odin continued to pester EJ for sex while she continued to sit on the single egg which almost certainly will not hatch.
There only five more egg laying days in the 2015 season. It looks as if there are not going to be any chicks at Loch Garten in 2015.
Tiger Signature
Keith and CR no he was around it was just Saturday or Sunday past and I think it was Limpy or Moffer who captured it.
CRinger - thank you for the information concerning the different times and rates of moult for the male and female osprey. I have learned a lot today!

Thank you KEITH for the fascinating insight of Vennessa Greene. I have not come across her before.
Poor EJ continues to call. Odin has only been on the nest twice today., both short visits (6am and 5.45pm) No fish delivered. What a very sad situation.
It was on Saturday afternoon that Tiger and I saw EJ kicking in the nest cup. A few minutes after Odin delivered a part fish, and that was the last meal that he has delivered to her.
I will be off soon, but I'll be recording and watching on my Kindle, just in case a fish appears, but to be honest, I think that it's a bit late now :(

No problem - I totally agree with Keith's quote from Vennessa we are all still learning.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Thanks for the link again, Moffer. In the cold light of day, I'm not sure she was kicking. Her claws were in the non-agressive posture (if that's the word) and I can't see actual kicking. I also thought that the Odin 'kicking' episode was unclear. The egg was in front of him as he kicked, as if he wanted to make a bigger nest cup. In essence, I think they are both going through an exceptionally difficult time and their instincts haven't got this programmed in. It's a very unusual situation, even for ospreys.
EJ's flown off, then returned within seconds. She continues to call.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Just a thought (maybe not a good one). It would be really helpful if someone at LG could post a photo of the "daily happenings" board at the end of the day. No comment, just for clarification of fish deliveries etc.
EJ left for a quick break and back. Been watching for 10 mins and the calling is incredible
