I am probably not the best person to be starting this thread right now as I am not that familiar with what has been going on all day. However I know essential a task it is and how tiresome it can become if it falls to the same small group every night.
What I do know is that Odin seems to have his best day since Monday 4th May, the last full day he was in control of the nest.
Well Odin seems to be back in control now and I guess most will be very happy about that with the exception of Finrir.
It will be interesting to see how things progress from here.
Enjoy another day of viewing.

No mention of Odin this morning but not to say he hasn't been. Hopefully learn more once he has viewed the images after his snooze :-)
It does appear to be really cold up there!
I thought that EJ was getting up then, but just a stretch and back down.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Yeah the guy said he photographed the osprey with a fish in loch garten which immediately got me suspicious
EJ continues to call. Odin is answering :) It's lovely to hear him.
MORNING ALL. What a brilliant start to the the DU from Tiger, and how wonderful to know that Odin has been 'bonding' so well with EJ. I hope it remains thus! I haven't been aware of any actual mating going on though.
BRYAN it might be possible that the osprey was merely 'washing its feet' and having a bathe. I have seen that done at Rutland.
EJ has been getting quite insistent in her calls.

scylla said: the idea that the three unringed ones somehow fared better is just not an idea that there is any credence to. A well thought-out conclusion, TIGER, however unpalatable it is. [/quote] I agree! On the other hand perhaps one of them did survive. (It certainly doesn't mean that all three are out there and causes an argument re ringing etc!!!!!) It also doesn't mean that because all seem to have perished except Breagha that all three of these have perished too.

Morning Sheila :) I can hear Odin chatting off cam. That two-tone call that he does :) Sounds distant because of the wind though.
Good to know he is around MOFFER, and a very good morning to you too!
It is lovely to see so many admitted 'lurkers' (I hate that word) coming out of the woodwork too. Welcome to all who have appeared recently. I hope Clare has a good time on the Broads, and that Lmac sees Odin and is able to report back!
It looks as though it is supposed to be showery this morning and brighter this afternoon, with gusty winds. Well I think we can see that for ourselves!
