As you may know, it has been revealed that we've actually been on the "lower frame, higher quality" transmission for well over a week. During that time we've missed most fly-ins and fly-outs, lots of other activity, and even EJ eating a fish on the nest. As one of our number said "the picture quality can't get worse than it is now", so...
I feel that the supposed increase in picture quality doesn't compensate for significant loss of nest activity.
Shall we ask Carnyx to revert to higher frame rate, lower quality picture - in which case we should see everything that goes on, even if it's somewhat blurred at times... often ;-)
Sorry, everyone.
YES = revert to lower quality
No = keep it as it is now.

By the way, I believe that there are efforts being made in the background to get the cam stream improved, but until something comes of them - we are where we are.
I will go with the majority decision, Scylla

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
I will leave it to you Scylla,
Oh flop . Nobody saw my new thread about a vote then!! Well, Trying did
Bump!!! this is now getting confooooooosing,
I think maybe Cirrus on your thread, you could leave a link to this thread as Scylla has given the options to choose.
Swings and roundabouts I feel. So again I feel it is the decision of those who provide us with the videos, rather than the single snaps that I give - Scylla, Moffer, Birdie, Limpy, CC, Lmac, et al. Clare does wonderful series of shots at such speed too. So really I do not wish to upset their excellent contributions and will happily follow the majority.

I'll leave it for the people who give us the pics and video's to decide what is the best option for them, they all do a wonderful job.
As I've said before, we're between a rock and a hard place. The RSPB (not the LG VC, to be clear) should hang their heads in shame, not for not having the resources but for not having capitalised on the potential resources they have - that is us. Look at what Dyfi and others have achieved. Clearly then, I have no preference, given the options.
To be honest, I would prefer to keep it as it is now rather than lower the 'quality' even further but then I am not doing the recordings and most of the captures.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
I just think that there is no point having all frames in videos if we can't make out who is involved. We need the better quality for identification.
