The saga of Loch Garten 2015 is far from over. We now have a name for the new male Finrir but the battle for Loch Garten goes on.
We will see what a new day brings.

I have voiced this opinion before, that EJ is conserving energy whilst sitting and the males need to eat in order to fight for the nest.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
There is one remarkable phenomena which I have never come across but have read about it. Ospreys have been known to set out over the Caribbean carrying a fish. The equivalent of taking lunch on the wing.
Not sure how common it is.
That could be an extremely long journey depending on the route. Does that mean they reach land still holding it, or would they drop it, I wonder!

Looking in for a catch up. No Odin, no fish, no mating, Fen has eaten. Exactly the same as I left last night. Not wanting to offend or upset I think we all need to take a check on the worrying and ensuing thoughts that we are posting. EJ will not die on the nest nor fade away with hunger. EJ is looking for someone to provide and as that isn't happening like many other ospreys she will leave her nest and fish when she gets hungry enough. The situation I find is sad enough without adding the demise of EJ into it. Hopefully I haven't offended and sorry if i have but just trying to add reality into the mix.

Thanks Tiger. I haven't been very worried about EJ so far. My concerns are with Odin and if he is getting time to fish.
Sorry Scylla! Lol
I am not worried either
Looks like another beautiful evening at LG. Perhaps EJ is enjoying the sun too and relaxing, thus not burning up much energy.
LOL Trying!!
Lmac I agree totally, and I think most folk do too. EJ will fish for herself when she really needs to. Just as she has fished for the chicks when she had thought the male was not providing enough.
