It is a huge privilege to start this new thread, especially after a day like yesterday.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mother, father, all ospreys worldwide and Tiger for drawing in his claws and stepping back.
I wish us all a less confused day of watching and attempting to interpret, and EJ and Odin the very best luck in the world in their defence of the most famous Osprey nest in the world.
Greetings all fellow 'midnighters'.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Sorry, just noticed that PS on your post. No doubt that it's not OC :-)
IMAGICAT
Well it's calm so far. It did appear to be Odin as she made no move apart from telling him to go get fish! Surely we can't have another day like yesterday?!.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning all - many thanks to CRinger for the lovely intro, and to everyone for the reports and chat so far.
After a relatively short time of Osprey Watching, compared to many long-term viewers, and, especially now, after witnessing yesterday's shenanigans, I am going to adopt, and hopefully, always bear in mind, two mottos:-
1 Always EXPECT the UNEXPECTED
2 NEVER, EVER, EVER, take ANYTHING FOR GRANTED.
Right, roll on today.
Cheerio CRINGER!
Good morning OLDSHOREMORE :-)

I'll do my best!
For anyone catching up later, it continues to be very WINDY! But it may be worse sonically than actually, nothing's being blown around the nest. I can't imagine that it's pleasant up there on the nest, but ospreys are made of stern stuff!
Oh, Odin's back but not with a fish, just for a back-paddle. Dang :'(
Faint calls of Cuckoo in the background (not forgetting Radio Chaffinch, of course). Oh, EJ chirps and another failed mating.
