Well not unexpectedly the season came to an end on Saturday morning when the intruding male broke the final egg.
As EJ is still in brooding mode she is still spending a lot of time on the nest brooding non existent eggs.
It now remains to be seen what will happen next. A variety of things could happen but as always with ospreys they will usually surprise us.
I guess the only way to find out is to keep watching.

I remember one year when Henry arrived home late (as usual) and had to evict OVS, there was a three hour ariel battle before OVS gave up and moved on.
This could well be what is being played out now. And all for the love of EJ.

Well, I now think that when DAISY RAY saw Odin very briefly on the nest edge that was him coming home and touching base with EJ. I think most probably he is now in the camera tree or on another favoiute roosting spot and is getting ready for a nap.
The night cam is on:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
