Well not unexpectedly the season came to an end on Saturday morning when the intruding male broke the final egg.
As EJ is still in brooding mode she is still spending a lot of time on the nest brooding non existent eggs.
It now remains to be seen what will happen next. A variety of things could happen but as always with ospreys they will usually surprise us.
I guess the only way to find out is to keep watching.

Would love to see a selfie of the jaunty angle at the dragonfly pond!
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Lmac my husband works from home and is in negotiation for an expensive upgrade.
Met RD a few years ago and he said these youngsters fly all around and can pick up on a potential nest from the age of the birds on it. A year or so later whoopee
EJ's very alert again. Doing up periscope :)
Have been out all day and not long got back - had been telling my daughter about Odin 'going missing / presumed dead', even she said 'awwww'; especially when I mentioned what had happened to their eggs.
Can't wait to tell her this fantastic news :D.
Thanks to everybody who's been watching the action unfurl before their very eyes - AND to Jen at LG for her blog message.

Just looked at Boat of G forecast. AFter about 11 pm it should be a dry night. Full sunshine first thing till noon then more rain. Hopefully that means Odin will get a chance of an early fish easily
Maybe one day soon we may see them nest again at Loch AnEilein
Wish we knew what is happening.
Thank you Moffer. That is what I thought. Mind you, without the technology on our wish list we don't know if he has been in the vicinity do we?
So do I BRENDA, I can't take much more of this suspense!
