Well not unexpectedly the season came to an end on Saturday morning when the intruding male broke the final egg.
As EJ is still in brooding mode she is still spending a lot of time on the nest brooding non existent eggs.
It now remains to be seen what will happen next. A variety of things could happen but as always with ospreys they will usually surprise us.
I guess the only way to find out is to keep watching.

Hi all. I have been catching up and again I am delighted that Odin seems to be back. I would doubt if he has been around, I doubt if he has been skydancing, it doesn't make sence. If he had been around he would have and along with EJ kept OC from landing and destroying the eggs. The question is where has he been for such a long time. Injured? another female? His instinct is to defend his partner, feed her and defend their egg's. It makes me wonder as there will be so many young/first timers returning to the area he has his pick. Not sure who said but remember someone saying he had been acting differently from previous years. Anyone have any thoughts?
EJ is very alert.
Yes, I think we all ( including EJ) are now waiting for Odin's reappearance with fingers toes and eyes crossed.
An intruder!

Who was that? EJ didn't want them there.
Yes, I noticed that. Can she see Odin or is OC around.

Hi all. Odin just briefly landed on the nest on right side and she "talked" to him and he flew off again.
She was alarm calling for a second until whoever it was left.

Rest assured PAM , Odin will never abandon EJ. He's gone fishing but the weather is not good for it. WHAT has EJ just reacted to for crying out.
Odin was back. We diid see him on the nest. We need to keep our nerve (I'm speaking to myself too)
The boy's back in town!
