Well not unexpectedly the season came to an end on Saturday morning when the intruding male broke the final egg.
As EJ is still in brooding mode she is still spending a lot of time on the nest brooding non existent eggs.
It now remains to be seen what will happen next. A variety of things could happen but as always with ospreys they will usually surprise us.
I guess the only way to find out is to keep watching.

Oh well I guess we don't see it all on a little Webcam.
I've just watched Scylla's video again, and scrutinised every frame. When I thought that OL looked soooo much like Odin, it WAS ODIN and the third landing was him also.
From Scylla's video.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Lmac, we see enough. Sometimes, too much.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Not wishing at all to disparage the VC, but your vid is 17.01, and they tweeted at 17.02. They would have taken longer to confirm that was Odin. I still think he was the second bird to land on the earlier vid when the fish was brought in.

Yes they will have seen a lot more today than the Webcam viewers
Has someone told Mary GK? I assume she's away somewhere.
For once 22 pages reveals good news!
I'm running out of battery and the tears in my eyes makes it a little difficult to keep up! Everything crossed that this works out the way we want.

I think that Wendy said that there is some time difference since the cam was changed. We are up to 15 minutes behind. Don't shoot me if I got that wrong.
To be honest I couldn't feel more joyful if I were in the VC.........in fact they'd probably be telling me I was disturbing EJ if I were there.
