Well not unexpectedly the season came to an end on Saturday morning when the intruding male broke the final egg.
As EJ is still in brooding mode she is still spending a lot of time on the nest brooding non existent eggs.
It now remains to be seen what will happen next. A variety of things could happen but as always with ospreys they will usually surprise us.
I guess the only way to find out is to keep watching.

I feel on top of the world!!!!!!!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Now I just want it all over ... for OC and any other around to be gone and for Odin and EJ to rebuild their partnership. Surely this will make them stronger.
I'm still ecstatic about Odin but I'm also feeling really sad looking at EJ settled in the nest cup with the empty shell beneath her :-(
Cannot believe this news, just wonderful.
CLARE, Have you managed to let Limpy know?
OMG. It's Odin, and in the words of Heron, YA BEAUTY. Can't wait for the blog to tell us when they spotted him. I would love to be there today. The best news ever, she says grinning from ear to ear.
Lets hope the disputes end quickly now and they can settle down again.

More than 30 miles, Mike - and I'm not quite as loud as that!
