Well not unexpectedly the season came to an end on Saturday morning when the intruding male broke the final egg.
As EJ is still in brooding mode she is still spending a lot of time on the nest brooding non existent eggs.
It now remains to be seen what will happen next. A variety of things could happen but as always with ospreys they will usually surprise us.
I guess the only way to find out is to keep watching.

I just imagined that Odin came to the nest and defended and flew off. It makes me feel sick...
Loud skydance, fish landing, intruder, all gone. I hope he didn't drop the fish but wouldn't be surprised:

I would be surprised if he dropped the fish. Birds don't survive to adulthood - or even spotty youth-hood - by repeatedly dropping their fish.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
What a shame that EJ didn't get the fish
It's all gone very quiet. I wonder if she managed to mug him off-camera?
That's what I was thinking Clare! LOL
So who is the intruder, I wonder. Is it Odin Lookalike, or a new kid on the block. Someone is keeping an eye on fish deliveries and following them in!

I hope it's not a new intruder. We've had quite enough intruders for the rest of the season!
Hi all :) Thanks for all the updates etc. Nice to find out EJ's had something to eat. I hope OC can grow into the role, and if EJ fully accepts him, I hope they have a good future together. It is strange though seeing an empty nest in May.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.

Oh they are back. Froze while mating - can't see if she accepted him or not.
She just tucked the broken eggshell under her and settled to brood. :((
