I'm back for a while and the consensus is is that was not Odin earlier so why did EJ let him stay?

It is a very dark egg. It just seems to lack the bulk of the other two eggs.

Remember she is trying to defend the eggs and has to decided what is the best thing to do.

I wondered for a moment if it could be Odin - but she did flap him away, if you look at my video posted immediately before your "who was this?" post.
IMAGICAT
That wasn't Odin. It was the bird with the orange splodge. It's the 07:29 bird I'm asking about.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I am very frustrated because I am convinced that there were two males involved in that last "attack" and none of you have responded *wail* ... *gnash teef*.
I've just watched the last episode again. Orange Chest (OC) looked like he was defending. He took off and flew left while EJ was screaming above her, and almost at once a bird dropped from above and landed on her. Possibly two birds?

Thank you, MOFFER - yes, that's what I'm getting at. Phew!
Sorry, CLARE, I meant the bird at 0803 being different from the one who'd landed and taken off immediately prior.
