As usual, there was the good and the not-so-good yesterday.
The Good
~ EJ got TWO portions of fish!
~ EJ was in fine voice.
~ No-one got hurt.
~ It didn't snow or rain heavily.
The Not-so Good
~ The intruders are still around, tho they were easily sent packing by Odin.
~ The cam has been buffering and blacking out very frequently.
~ Some of us have had great difficult accessing the LG forum.
Generally, it was a very good day for our birds, and that's what matters.
IMAGICAT
MORNING ONE AND ALL Golly, that was some start to the day afte Scylla's excellent start to the thread. I was adding up the minutes as I read your posts, willing EJ to return. But hey, osprey know best, don't they, particularly this pair.
I've been to Oldmoreshore! We've had a few holidays up on that beautiful NW coast. Love it.
A quick check of Dyfi and LotL shows a horribly wet day. The forecast for the next few days is equally as bad with strong winds. I think LG is showing the calm before the storm, so Odin had better get the cupboard stocked up!

Morning, Sheila! Let's hope Odin does stock the cupboard before the weather hits. I'm assuming as they are a migratory species they have a good sense of what's coming.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Hi Sheila - pleased to see you're another Sutherland fan! Mind you, I think it's a bit of a Marmite location - completely different from the "typical" Scottish Highlands - you either love it or hate it. I think some people find it a bit TOO overwhelming - so vast, underpopulated, and rugged. But if you're a fan, you're addicted for life - bit like the ospreys, really.
Speaking of which, still quiet on the nest. And yes, the forecast is terrible. I wonder if the birds can sense the impending weather? As Clare says, let's hope so.
I'm back! on my own PC but the stream has gone down.
EDIT It's back

I think you will find that MARY is also a fan of that coast line too!
EJ hasn't moved. The fish tail is still under her beak. So far I don't think it is raining. Radio Chaffinch serenades EJ and us.
We have strong winds now, and I can see rain down the valley to the west of us. It will come! I'm not sure whether that flash of lightning was over the nest, EJ certainly looked up and around, or here as the rain gets closer.
Yes, the screen and VLC both went down and were slow to recover, and now it's buffer buffer buffer.
I've got a feeling we're heading for big trouble with the cam.
Hello MOFFER welcome back.
Same scene. EJ is looking at the fish waiting for Odin to return. Sounds like rain :(
EJ is looking very alert about something, peering around her with those sharp eyes.
It looks as though last night's spider has left a bit of web on the top right. The wind keeps catching something.
She is still looking around her. Perhaps there has been thunder?
