As usual, there was the good and the not-so-good yesterday.
The Good
~ EJ got TWO portions of fish!
~ EJ was in fine voice.
~ No-one got hurt.
~ It didn't snow or rain heavily.
The Not-so Good
~ The intruders are still around, tho they were easily sent packing by Odin.
~ The cam has been buffering and blacking out very frequently.
~ Some of us have had great difficult accessing the LG forum.
Generally, it was a very good day for our birds, and that's what matters.
IMAGICAT
I second that. Yes, well, after that panicky opening, good morning all, and thanks for all the reports so far. Incidentally, after the brief bit of action I've seen so far, it strikes me that Odin, even when he's on incubating duties, LEAVES the nest to deal with intruders, but EJ manages to pretty well STAY on the eggs and repel intruders at the same time.
Sticking my neck out after calming down, I don't think half an hour in non-freezing temps is too much of a worry.
That's Positive Thinking, which you won't be accustomed to from this source ;-D
Different approaches to the same problem OSM .... and Odin wants them OUT of his territory. And of courese, he has a mate at home who is able to return to the nest

Yes, she seems to be tethered to her eggs and has to get ultra frantic before the rope snaps!
BTW, again I noticed how calm EJ kept while Odin was defending on the nest.

This is classic MC though. " Glad you got here by hook or by crook, MOFFER - sod the pics, as long as you are here ;-*" LOL
Birdies LG DU update.
Different gender,differnt responsibilities
Thank you MIKE
I agree Scylla. I hope that Odin returns soon and doesn't take the fish, so that EJ can eat in peace.
It's a bit windy but dry there thank goodness. Windy and very wet here in Bristol :(
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Love the abbreviation, Cirrus, (much less of a mouthful than the full version!). Many this is the sex difference thing again - Odin wants to go out and be the macho knight in shining armour, while the little lady sits at home and quietly multi-tasks....
