And so we begin another month. Osprey season is in full swing, with lots of action everywhere. ENJOY!
Thanks Willow - I see you are also on alert for news from Kielder 2.
I have been concerned regarding these eggs since that skirmish of April 11 and also when the eggs were exposed for two hours which at that stage in early April is some time.
As the days to Egg 1 tick by the hours to the 41st Day I am a little concerned.
Let us hope a repeat of Dullas hatching occurs.
A beautiful morning again here and many swifts screaming around the old buildings this morning as I drove through Canterbury this morning, makes me happy to see.
I have booked a boat trip at Rutland Water on 22 July and is an understatement to say hoe excited I am! Going to spend a few days there as we both have the same annual leave SO pleased! It will be first time here and is probably one of my favorite nests as I love the view from the nest!
Willow - your trip to Rutland sounds wonderful! Don't forget the camera and try to bring us back some lovely photographs :)

Good morning, everyone.
Diane, WOO HOO indeed for the indigo bunting you have seen. As others before me this morning have stated he is an exceedingly gorgeous bird. Only very rarely over the past years have I had the privilege of seeing one in my own back yard.
Keith, no turkey pictures?
Somebody is in a nearby tree and the cam is back to modern art again.

NEWS also that a hatch at Kielder 2 and another at Kielder 1 so a relief for Nest 2 after the disruption.
Congratulations from me too Willow. I see you still have almost two months to look forward to your Manton Bay visit. Anticipation can be half the fun.
Hey I just got a good wing-lifted capture at Manton Bay. As I tuned in He/she ( sorry I can't ID) was just flying in. As I usually do, I missed a good shot. Then he started trying to move the big stick. Voila!! a good story capture.
