And so we begin another month. Osprey season is in full swing, with lots of action everywhere. ENJOY!
Good afternoon All. June you have given us some beautiful captures thankyou! I like the Loch of the Lowes one but got to feel a little sorry for the fish :(
Great to see a nest full of dear little bobbleheads at Lof the Lowes and Rutland. They are happy and successful nests and long may it continue! Very impressed by B33 and being a first time dad has excelled himself!
I couldn't resist posting the LotL shot, which I found interesting but YUCK! or as the kids would say Ooh,Gross! :)
Sad news for site B the female and 3(97) have given up incubating their second clutc, they must have known that eggs may be unviable. No chicks there this year either,
There was a comment on the blog about 3(97) to be mentioned on Springwatch on the telly! Rushed home to watch but nothing about it! Maybe wrong day :(. Will get OH to tape it for me!

Early morning seems to be the time to watch. I saw more action last night/this morning than I have all season I think. There was much coming and going and other activity as previously described at LG. But all seems quiet now, with an empty nest except for the one egg. I thought in one capture that it had been destroyed, but now it looks very whole and beautiful.
Hello June I hope that Odin will eventuall remove the egg, hes tried hard enough to! It looks so sad and forlorn sitting there with no one to love and cherish it :(
I do think it is still intact amazingly after all Odins kicking LOL!
NOW WHAT?!
58 Willow Again i have no idea which nest this is or why this has happened. If anyone would like to volunteer a short summary?
Fabulous feathery photo!!
Two chicks hatched at LOCHTER in the past 24 hours.
Watched the nest for a few hours this evening - nothing too exciting to photograph as the female sat tight apart from head movements and for the first time ever since I have followed this nest for some yeras she made No Sound. Brief glimpses of the male around the trout lochans but not fishing.
No sighting of a third egg so we will maybe have to wait a few days to see if there is any more.
