These pictures were taken only seconds or bare minutes apart. I found her on her nest. She flew away, leaving the empty nest. She quickly returned and settled in again, looking beneath her as she resumed her place. But she didn't do her usual wiggling cuddling in routine. Breaks my heart!!
Is this the new male? I just tuned in and he was landing as I did so. EJ was standing in center of nest, may also have just flown in, not sure. She moved to shown position and they stood like that a short while. Then he was gone and EJ took up her setting position again.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
