.
I've surfaced from drowning in mysterious tech problems, hopefully gasping for air just long enough to start out our new day.
EJ, in her usual reliable way, has produced Egg #2 exactly when it was expected. Apart from another intruder landing on the nest (the same one as the other day, the Odin look-alike?), it has been a good day for us all.
The deer have just finished "barking" and now some corvid-like calls can be heard in the distance, but EJ is taking no notice - apparently!
IMAGICAT
fantastic picture of EJ I've saved it
Intruder way too close to the nest again! EJ defending.
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
Still around and it's really close. I can hear it's wings. EJ screaming go away.
I think I got a foot - he was certainly very low overhead.
I thought I saw a leg too SCYLLA, but was too slow to snap it. Well done.
And a bit more than a foot in the top-left:
I couldn't post more than one pic in the RF.
Must post EJ mantling with unblurred feathers!!! EDIT - Not toooo blurry feathers ;-)
It really was close! Two days running intruding Ospreys bothering her and trying to land when she's home alone. Poor EJ.
Sounds like she can see Odin now. Oh yes, I can hear him alarm cheeping.
EJ's more relaxed now, but still keeping an eye out.
