.
The idyllic start to the season continues, with the only blot being intruders (which come with the territory). Today an Odin-lookalike appeared to land on the nest but I'm not sure that it wasn't Odin putting himself between the intruder and the nest before chasing it off.
This is what we could have had tonight:
This is what we have - at least it's not as bad as last night.
I suppose the people who adjust the "lights" can't see the outcomes because they're locked out of the VC ??? If only we knew.
Then at 0120hr they briefly changed the light again:
EJ checked the egg - all present and correct:
Someone out there? I didn't hear anything:
Poop and flap:
Another sweep of the lights (I know they're not lights as such, but what are we to call them?):
They're doing it about every hour:
IMAGICAT
She's back:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Great sequences CLARE. SCYLLA - superb close ups of Odin and EJ . How did you do that ? Much less the lovely first egg!! The egg looks like it has a reflection :)

Cropped them out with Irfanview. You need the original to be reasonably sharp so have to be picky.
'Bout time they zoomed on the egg >:(
Odin's here to take over... nope, he was spurned, but there may be a nice capture out of it.
He's back:
Gone again:
Can't work out why he came, he didn't seem to bring anything.

Strange how it looked quite good on my screen but is terribly blurred on replay. This is the only clearish bit:
Has something happened to improve the video footage here?? The picture seems clearer, more focussed ? It's hugely better .Thank you STAFF
Haha, I didn't take that from your capture, CLARE, we just happened to coincide ;-)
I sent off some samples to Carnyx the night before last and the cam was refocused the following morning. May be nothing to do with it, of course.
