.
The idyllic start to the season continues, with the only blot being intruders (which come with the territory). Today an Odin-lookalike appeared to land on the nest but I'm not sure that it wasn't Odin putting himself between the intruder and the nest before chasing it off.
This is what we could have had tonight:
This is what we have - at least it's not as bad as last night.
I suppose the people who adjust the "lights" can't see the outcomes because they're locked out of the VC ??? If only we knew.
Then at 0120hr they briefly changed the light again:
EJ checked the egg - all present and correct:
Someone out there? I didn't hear anything:
Poop and flap:
Another sweep of the lights (I know they're not lights as such, but what are we to call them?):
They're doing it about every hour:
IMAGICAT
Good morning, all. It looks like another cold one for EJ:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
She's up:
She has flown.
EJ taking a break.....and she's back and settles on the egg
Morning CLARE
Good morning, Odin:
Odin seems to be having trouble getting comfortable
Hi, Patily! He's having a right old fidget - perhaps he's waiting for those rampant hormones to wear off.
HA HA!
Odin still faffing about trying to get comfy
BFN
See you later, Patily.
