Evening all: Welcome back, Alicat! As usual, all quiet on the LG nest; breezy at LOTL. FYI, I may not watch very late tonight as we have someone coming early in the morning to install French doors between the kitchen and "my" room and it's been a busy day.
Odin just delivered a "large" headless fish . EJ again took it away in her mouth rather than her talon
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I had to go and cook tea, which we've just finished, so I couldn't tell you about it then, but I'd just watched a very funny sequence of events between Odin and EJ. EJ was on the eggs when Odin flew in and stood beside her expectantly. No response from EJ. Odin did some housekeeping, in the process deliberately placing a branch across EJ's back, then moving it further up her neck where she couldn't get to it easily. EJ tried to move it, then ignored it and Odin. Odin finally moved the brancy off her back and clumsily mounted her, with no real intention of mating, then flew off. She finally got up and moved back, expecting him to do his usual fly-in to mate. He didn't mate, but flew in and landed next to her, then took over incubation, after which she took off for some free time.
Smiles, Jan.

Barbara Jean, while it's so windy, I think she'd need both feet free to land and grasp a branch properly, so that's probably why she's carrying fish in her beak at the moment.
I'm off outa here now to attend a meeting. I'll look in when i get back.
Yes, Barbara Jean - it was a FAT fish . Really well done Odin.
Oh, what a story Wattle ha ha :)
I missed the fish delivery, so thanks for the detail. I must hurry and finish the HW.
Me, too - I missed it, but thanks to all for descriptions. I have to go out now (boo hoo).
