WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY, APRIL 12, 2015

Happy New Week

  • Clare - And landing on your shoulder! Are your pets all keeping well? More pics of them, please.... AQ - What a treat. Hope, as Annette says, that you have spent at least some of the time lolling.
  • You could, of course, have this little chap on your shoulder instead:
  • Our birds are all full of the joys of spring....and yes, two of them are prone to landing on my shoulder.  I love it when they land on Limpy and give him tokens of their affection!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • AS if butter wouldn't melt!!!!

  • LINDY  Forgot to wish you both Happy Anniversary.  It is ours  at the end of the month, can't believee it will be 35 years!

OG  Glad you are home safe and sound. So glad we didn't see you as this is a nasty and long lasting bug.

That's impressive!  Limpy and I celebrate 16 years in September.  At least one of us has the patience of a saint.

  • Good morning all and another very warm day in the offing. Glad to say I am feeling rather better than I have been. Chemo is a bit of a trial now leaving me feeling rather nauseous and difficulty in eating and drinking but onwards and upwards it has to be done.

i thought this time last year that I would not be here so am really happy that I am. Thrilled to bite for Loch of the Lowes and Rutland and think EJ will be next. They are thinking of having a memorial to Lady which would be very fitting and one she certainly deserves after her prolific chick rearing over the years.

dibnlib sorry about your painful wrist, hope the flare up will ease or you.

rita very sad for the lady that had 40 tortoises stolen. As you say legislation has been good but not good that they are now seen as something to steal.

Clare my hopes were raised when I read about the referendum in Malta but quickly dashed when I saw the result.  Just cannot understand why people want to kill birds for fun.

Brenda hopefully you are fully recovered from your trip to London. Enjoyable for you but so very tiring. Are you trying to tempt providence by putting your winter woollies away lol. I am not quite that brave just yet. What a novel way of bring attention to a large pothole, shame the tractor has flattened it down but hopefully the photos taken will bring about a repair.

OG pleased to read that daughter's rebuild is coming along. Has she been able to move back?  Hope you will get so of outer good weather as I think you have had some rain but  your garden will benefit from it I guess.

Heather so pleased Mia's party was a success and I am sure all food will have now have been eaten. Billie will come back indoors when I come in. We have a Fellway diffuser plug ins for indoors. These were re recommended by the vet and which do keep her calm indoors but I think she is always going to be nervous if she is outside on her own.

Lindybird love thevMonday smile and the hedgehog pic, such a cute face. Your Stellata  looking gorgeous and what adorable pics of Bonnie. Lol if all else fails I will play with my tail. She really does sound full of mischief but hopefully the novelty of footwear, soggy sticks and Plants etc will fade as she gets older. All things considered she must be a joy to have around.

Annette have you had any more rain at all. Sounds very serious with the new regulations. Pleased to read you are getting lots done. Always brings a sense of satisfaction. Are you still whale watching.

AQ see you are having high temperatures for the time of the year. Another exhausting Nanny day for you but read on to find you had a reprieve and an unexpected day off. Hope you managed some lolling and do enjoy your trip at the weekend.

Lmac I know I shouldn't laugh but Tapaidh's antics did amuse me somewhat. Not very good  she was trying to dig up the remains of your cat. Hopefully the destructive phase will end soon. She is gorgeous though and can definitely see why you can forgive her, what a gorgeous face.

Lynette at least you can crack on with things and also have time to watch the Ospreys.

have a good day all and take care.

I can heartily agree with you on that one.  When will it be legal to hunt people like this for fun????

  • MARGO   so very glad you are here to see another Osp season.

Must remember that there are people in this country who think it is fun to shoot wildlife.

Another puppy story. Years ago my Mum had an Irish Setter pup. She came home from work one day to find Jinty on the dining table eating pieces of jigsaw

I put my winter hats and gloves away, only to have to get them out of hibernation again as we have had some sunny but very cold days.
