A Google search revealed this so I have started a new thread has been suggested.
Birdies LG DU update.
In seriousness as the concert has been given 3 years I hope it goes well for all parties and all wildlife are left happy and safe after the event. Will be delighted if this can go ahead with no disturbance and harm coming to the osprey family. If that happens then next year we would hopefully not see the bad behaviour such as destruction of the nest area in the lead up to the event if all parties can co-exist
I meant the selfie sticks Clare but your point is a very good and valid one.
I really hope it goes well, especially for the wildlife. I just can't help feeling that over the winter some unnamed party will help things along and make sure that some accident happens to the vacant nest.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
That is my fear Clare and one I voiced thinking I might be rather cynical - I am glad I am not the only one. The only good thing is, is that the nest is on the neighbours land and he has categorically said it will not be removed but hey he can always change his mind.
I rather doubt they (with the nest on their land) will have a change of mind. It sounds as though there has been a mega fallout between the family.
Traffic is already causing a problem apparently, narrow roads with coaches and buses trying to pass. A lack of water and loos on at least one camp site. Six minutes ago on the FB page: Travelling to T in the Park? Please expect delays on the roads. Respect locals and be patient. We're looking forward to seeing you!

Lack of facilities means people roam where they shouldn't to use as toilet. Dee-zass-ter
Absolutely - there have already been complaints from the locals - although there is no telling who might have posted the comments. Facts, not assumptions!
This is bad - I hope the council and police are monitoring! Although I suppose it will all be over before they get around to it!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I just happened across this article and video that was posted this evening. I'm giving the link because I thought it might interest you all, not because I agree with it. Best to everyone.
Thanks, Diane. It's very early days yet - and it's ridiculous for Mr Ellis to assume the birds will enjoy the festival.
